Cutoff
The cutoff for the NET Commerce exam is determined by the National Testing Agency (NTA) based on various factors such as the number of candidates appearing for the exam, the difficulty level of the exam, and the total number of available seats.
The cutoff marks for the NET Commerce exam may vary from year to year, and also from category to category. However, to qualify for the exam, candidates belonging to the general category must secure a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in both paper 1 and paper 2. Candidates belonging to reserved categories such as OBC, SC, ST, PwD must secure 35% aggregate marks in both paper 1 and paper 2.
The final cutoff for the NET Commerce exam is calculated based on the number of candidates who appeared for the exam, the number of seats available, and the overall performance of the candidates. Candidates who score above the cutoff marks are eligible for assistant professorship or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in various Indian universities and colleges.
It is observed that only 6% of the students appearing in the NET exam actually qualify it.
